The original true cold cure UV LED by NuFlow Technologies

The NuCure Cold Cure UV (CCUV) system is a significant advancement in UV-cured pipe lining technology. By integrating low-voltage UV lighting with our exclusive cold cure UV resins, NuCure CCUV redefines light curing technology in the UV pipe lining industry.

This innovative UV-cured pipe lining solution reduces the margin for error by curing liners directly in place, significantly cutting down curing time. It also offers contractors the flexibility to wet out either on-site or off-site. NuFlow’s NuCure CCUV delivers top-tier performance in the UV-cured pipe lining sector at a highly competitive price, making it a go-to choice for contemporary pipe rehabilitation projects.

The NuCure CCUV method of UV-cured pipe lining ensures a quicker, more dependable, and efficient pipe rehabilitation process, perfectly suited to the demands of today’s fast-paced construction and maintenance environments. By implementing this state-of-the-art UV-cured pipe lining technology, contractors can provide exceptional quality and durability in their pipe repair and rehabilitation efforts.

CURING SPEED

UV liners cure significantly faster compared to other methods. While ambient curing can take 8 to 10 hours and thermal curing requires around 2 hours, UV curing can be completed in as little as 10 minutes. This rapid process enables operators to prioritize the quality of the rehabilitation work without the pressure of time constraints.

The quicker curing time also reduces the risk of resin slumping, leading to a more uniform wall thickness and minimizing issues like resin bleed-off, washout, emulsification, or other site-related challenges that can occur before curing.

LOGISTICS

UV-initiated resins eliminate the need for refrigeration during shipping and storage, streamlining inventory management. These resins can be purchased pre-mixed in bulk, allowing for cost savings and extended use over time. Additionally, UV-cured liners can be pre-wet out and delivered to the job site ready for installation, offering further convenience and efficiency.

FIELD EXPERTISE

Since UV-cured resins are activated in place by UV light exposure, they offer an indefinite “pot life” (working time), allowing crews to adjust to unforeseen site conditions without the risk of premature curing. The curing time for UV-cured resins remains consistent across varying temperature conditions, eliminating the need to modify the resin mixture or adjust the curing schedule for extreme hot or cold environments. Moreover, UV curing demands less expertise, as fewer variables influence the liner’s quality, making the process more straightforward and reliable.

RESINS

The resins used in UV curing share the same foundational structure as those used in thermal curing; the primary difference lies in the curing initiator. Despite this, the final product remains essentially the same. However, UV curing offers notable benefits, such as minimizing potential disruptions and significantly enhancing efficiency.

RESTORED PIPE

The epoxy cures in a few short hours, then the bladder is deflated and removed, leaving behind a clean, seamless “pipe within a pipe.”

EQUIPMENT

UV curing equipment typically demands less maintenance compared to hot water or steam generators, which often need frequent flushing and periodic descaling. Additionally, UV equipment presents fewer safety concerns and is generally more cost-effective than thermal curing systems.

AS-BUILT CONSISTENCY

UV-cured liners achieve a reliably dense cure, which removes uncertainties related to flexural modulus, abrasion resistance, corrosion resistance, and leak tightness. This consistency ensures reliable life-cycle performance and leads to consistently satisfied end-users.
